Both classes begin with full days after Labor Day. Thereafter, we follow the Barkhamsted School calendar. The Pleasant Valley Children's Center is a cooperative preschool. We are professionally staffed, non-profit and non-denominational. Parents of P.V.C.C. are considered members;  parent members own and operate the school. The P.V.C.C. is licensed by the State of Connecticut. We do not require children to be toilet trained before entering preschool. We also offer a playgroup for 1 and 2 eyar olds one afternoon  per week during the school year, which parent attend with their child.
